They used to. Recently, there have been many changes in their work permit/LMO process. A company who wants to hire foreign citizens now need to first put out an ad for 1 month for the position in a Canadian job board seeking Canadian citizens. Once they are done with it, they have to apply for a Labor Market Opinion which takes 10-12 weeks. After receiving a positive LMO, they can apply for the work permit which takes 1-2 months more. |
