If the end of files is the wave of the future, then it is a dystopian one, because it removes the user's control of his or her own data and puts it in the hands of the app developer. This makes computers less usable, not more so, in exchange for an insignificant amount of convenience that is in no way whatsoever worth the tradeoff. |
