Don't work for a startup. At least, not as a "developer for hire" to work on whatever they need. In my experience (albeit in U.S./ USD), those rates come to people with solid programming reputation, IN ADDITION TO a deep domain knowledge in a market with a lot of money. (knowledge of the finance world like HFT algorithms, marketing skills like conversion optimization, high security clearance, etc.) |
