Some people just want to be in the middle of the action. They just walk around SF and decide that they have to live there. I worked for three years at Stanford. Once, after I'd been living in Menlo Park for about a year, I flew back into SFO from a business trip, and took the train away from all the skyscrapers and nightlife and excitement -- for me, this was the wrong direction. I found an apartment the city, started taking the train down, and didn't look back. |
