Agreed. I think it's up to the interviewer to redirect the responses towards something more meaningful. For example, "what criteria would you use to evaluate what you find on Google?" Or "how would you determine if the information was up to date/accurate/etc.?" I've found that a person might jump to the "I'd Google it" answer but still have a good knowledge of the problem domain.
