War accelerates development of technology same way as science accelerates development of technology same way as commerce accelerates development of technology but new wars and new science and new forms and magnitudes of commerce are possible only because of the new technology (new tools of war, science and commerce to be precise). There are multiple feedback loops like that but common point of all those loops is technology. |
