I'm curious about the result, I share his idea about LFS being a little bit too 'automatic' and the feeling of blindness that resulted. The joy of booting a system build from source was there, but didn't last long, in fact I quickly hit very weird network issues such as elinks seeing the network but not wget, reinforcing the notion that I there was a need for a different kind of information about the system.
