Definitely if you're a slacks-wearing corporate stooge middle manager, you'd rather work in an office park with a linoleum cafeteria and acres of parking. To remind yourself every day that you're not exceptional.
Or maybe you are just a person who enjoys having personal space? (That isn't a mattress in a closet)
This is why I love Hacker News. Positive, non-judgemental, and unbiased attitudes everywhere. Truly evolutionary and the wave of the future!
Or if you have a family, or a significant other, or just want a space to get away from work.

Do you really find it surprising that there at people that wouldn't like to work in somebody's one-bedroom basement apartment?

Are all those people necessarily "corporate stooges"? Really?

"Corporate-stooge," as an adjective, should be hyphenated.
