Essentially, yes. Sometimes as a proxy and sometimes straight from shell (irssi). My long term goal is to tailor an IRC bot to represent me virtually while I am unavailable (at work, etc).

I'm talking about AI style responses based off a dataset I provide. Not just presence. =)
