I liked the article but do not agree with the conclusion. I think most people know that the "fire" will fade with time intuitively.

I am not sure educating people about this would lower divorce rate, being told it and living it are two different things.

I did not know this until someone explained it to me. It was before this post, but long after my teens were over. Peoples general attitude to sex and relationships can only come from their life experiences, right? My parents were in a loveless marriage and divorced early in my life, so my guide to healthy relationships was tv, movies and porn.
Thank you for posting this. My initial reaction was like soora's, and it's good to be reminded that not everyone shares my experience and assumptions.

Except that that is not always true... Only if you let it.

A relationship without the fire is good enough for some people, others prefer it, others cannot live without it. Everyone is different.
