Why should we seek a middle ground? Yes, sometimes criminals will evade prosecution by taking advantage of their civil rights. That does not mean that we should be curtailing civil rights. Let's put it this way: we have more prisoners than any country on the planet. I do not think we should be concerned about the difficulties police and prosecutors face with evidence collection. |
