To that point, I would consider putting borders on all the entry fields to make it clear where user data goes. It wouldn't be as pretty, but it might be more usable.
Yes, and then I'd consider arranging them on a grid, with predictable tab order, and then I'd consider remove distracting visual ornamentation, and then...

...we have a usable, familiar, industry-tested form of data entry. =D

And for bonus points, the card issuer is known from the first digits. But perhaps a copyright issue to display logos.
I've seen the Visa, MC and AmEx logos on too many CC forms so far to think that showing their logo is a no-no.
I'm assuming he means the issuing bank, not just the Visa/MC/AmEx logos, as those ARE already displayed on the skeuocard.
Ah... I didn't enter a real CC number so I didn't know what level of customization it did. I assumed it was just the generic main card logos.
