Sure, but it's more like Tesla would buy Uber, not Uber would rocafella out and buy Tesla, along with the roads. Plus, outside of SF, Uber isn't really taking off.
Joint venture? They both have what the other needs. And $125Million in revenue says Uber is taking off in more than SF.
$125M means they have 1/4 the SF Taxi market revenue.
Do you have a source for that? I tried googling and couldn't find a solid number on Taxi revenues by city.
Uber will never have the user base unless their pricing matches the price for a normal cab ride.
It already does in SF.
Except for when it surges 2x, which is most weekends - when you are most likely to want a ride.
