So true. As a senior-level who has zero interest in SV or NYC, my biggest frustration is with companies who demand 5+ years of professional experience in specific skillsets, essentially a drop-in piece for what they think they need right now. This attitude extends hiring, or in this case not hiring, juniors as well, it seems. Its one of many frustrations driving me back towards electrical engineering, though EE employers are even worse about this one particular point. |
