Drones are the future for a lot of missions, but considering the amount of money thrown around, no Congressman is going to turn the opportunity to secure billions in defence spending for their state/district. Defence spending has always been driven by domestic pressures - anyone remember the 'scandal' when Airbus (with a better plane) secured a contract for US transport airlift? |
