Although I'm no developer I've been in a similar situation, where the boss was bullying a colleague of mine. Situation got so infected because of this that almost everyone in the company stood up to the boss. For the bullied colleague, and the few of us who worked closely to her, it ended up getting us all fired. I consider myself good at what I do and some of the others that were sacked excellent. I didn't have the choice to stay or leave. Being let go, I was afraid my career would take a serious dive. It didn't. Next employer bumped my salary, gave me great conditions and I actually enjoy working nowadays. In hindsight being let go was the best thing for me. It's hard to realize it when you're in it though. My advice to you is to leave and (try) to never look back. Considering bad mouthing your previous employer, just don't. You can share such details after you're hired and people have gotten to know you. Mention the work you've done instead during interview. |
