I'm guessing they know that he would never answer questions regarding future products, so why waste everyone's time? Jobs seemed to dodge these questions by sharing his views on the future of technology. Cook always replies with the "area of great interest" line, which (paired with the "we're focused on making the best products" one) made up almost the entire hour.
