I suggest having a close look at jqMobi (Intel App Framework). It's basically a streamlined version of jQuery plus a lightweight mobile specific framework (2 core js files). Together, these files let you build mobile websites or native mobile apps +PhoneGap for iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry.
