Conway asserts that the referenced post says "you are the victim here". But I think he (Jason Freedman) says that a subset of people who have extreme difficulty ("...it’s more than just the normal struggle to wake up in the morning") getting up may have Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome and not know it. As someone with an autoimmune disease that affects my sleep, I don't think physiology can be glossed over. As well, I don't think he (Jason) was trying to create victims; he links to his advice and ends by saying "it is on you to decide to do something about it". But having trouble getting up in the morning is not being a sissy, not for everyone. |
