Don't want to ruin the pity party, but learning is more important than grades. And grades don't actually matter. You need them to meet an end, but not much more. The question is, are you going to do something with all you claimed to have learned? And even worse still, are you going to do something that is going to mean anything to anyone?

Grade A students who graduate and just get a job somewhere, doing something, for someone for the rest of their lives, then retire cozily and die do not impress me, and they shouldn't impress you either.

Do something amazing.

(I'm not there yet, but I think I've got a point.)

I am sure there are many Grade A students who never went on to do amazing things, simply because there are many aspects in life that cannot be controlled. Many things one does in life end up being meaningless, and that's life. Your grudge against Grade A students is unjustifiable.

You may want to check out this movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2036416/

It is a story about Giddens Ko, who grew up despising Grade A students, then became somewhat of a Grade A student himself. He went on to become the most successful Chinese author / director.

So I think you're assuming that I'm not a grade A student. I've done plenty well in school, maintaining a 4.0 until that dreaded A- came along and ruined me.

My point is simple, whether you like Grade A students or not, if you don't do anything important, you won't be important. People are what they do. Maaaaaybe I was a little harsh, but the point doesn't change.
