An itunes single might be more than 1/6th the cost of a CD single, but it's certainly less than 1/6th the cost of a CD album. In the CD days it made a lot more sense to buy albums - there was a physical overhead to acquiring and storing the CD, and many tracks weren't even available as singles. |
