By "silent majority" do you mean "inactive and/or passive majority"? Stories don't make it to the front page by comments, AFAIK. If there's a hidden majority of HN users who would like to see a given story promoted, then they should exercise the up-vote button. edit : also, frankly, the Nigerian scam reference was not constructive. |
