Maybe use the knowledge accumulated in the charity sector to raise awareness. Present personal stories, with cases that people can relate to. Help people understand how copyright laws affect individuals, not corporations, or this vague notion of culture. And, aligned with the common good premise, try to tell stories of very diverse individuals.

And, please, go find real individuals actually affected directly by these laws, not generic stereotypes.
