When I read that essay, I wondered why they don't teach this stuff in high school or college. Years beyond education, people are still not doing what they love. A lot people drag their feet going to jobs where they don't feel fulfilled until they finally retire. I just wondered what inspired PG to write almost a manual on the subject. So I asked... "If you don't ask, you don't get." |

I actually have assigned it and some of Paul Graham's other essays; many students, however, appear to reject his advice, or are not ready to listen to it.
