Being less radical would diffuse his message and make it more difficult to explain to the masses. I dont agree to with him to extent he make his points and historically he has always acted "radical", so the thing im trying to say is very arguable. But his uncompromising stance could very well be a pragmatic approach, because there is next to no one doing it instead of him.
