So her response to the criticism regarding missing out on good people because they did not have degrees from top universities is to say "Why can't we just be good at hiring"? Seriously? Your employees are trying to tell you how to improve your decisions and be more flexible, and your response is to tell them "No, actually you just need to do as I say, but do a better job at it." Did Mayer spend 25 years as a military officer? That seems to be her management style. |
