I think he misunderstood. Bestseller lists are based on velocity + sales. Not just pure sales. Someone could sell 4K books in one week and make a list. Versus someone who sold 1,000 books per week and sold 52K books total and they wouldn't make any list at all. It's all very screwed up. Really, it's a measurement of short term popularity more than anything. |
