I think these days is relatevely easy to get basics down with sites like codecademy, codeschool, teamtreehouse and such. At least in web developement. You can get the idea how it all works, how to do simple stuff.

To me, the biggest challenge is to get bigger picture of technology I am using -> once I understand that learning is much faster.
