What caught my attention in the article is the friend who always says, she is "learning to code" and people look down on her. This reminds me of the legal profession - when someone asks what a lawyer does, they should not respond with their title, I am a lawyer or attorney, rather explain that "they practice law". What does the HN community think about that? Would you respond to career questions by answering, "I practice computer coding"? As a non-tech it sounds professional and badass. |
