The typeface on this page creates a visual illusion whereby the terminals and serifs appear brighter than the stems and bowls. Makes me wonder if this happens with a lot of serif faces in light on dark color schemes and if there's some way to fix it. Also, not sure if the OP is reading, but while the alternating dark/light text on a grey background is an interesting idea, it just doesn't work. The dark on dark text is hard to read, the emphasis is too strong and comes off as heavy-handed, and the overall effect on the experience of reading is negative in my subjective evaluation. |
