People find the idea of people who prefer to live by themselves disturbing. I mentioned Sylvan Hart recently to some geeks, and cue the deranged bomber jokes. Really made me sad. Nothing wrong with introversion, IMO. Lots of people have done it throughout centuries. It can be harmful, and props to OP for recognizing the problem and choosing to move forward. |
