Theres somewhat hidden extensive technical information on the developers blog at http://piface.openlx.org.uk/ with the schematic. The chips on the top are actually a simple SPI IO extender (MCP23S17SP) and a power driver (ULN2801A), so the extension won't run any code whatsoever. |
