It is the cheapest way to buy a legit version of Windows 8 Pro for now. Provided you didn't buy a new laptop with Windows 7 between June 2012 and now for that cheaper upgrade. Even if you have no future plans to upgrade/migrate to Windows 8 Pro yet, you may change your mind in the future. If you do it will cost more to upgrade after January. I bought two upgrades just in case, haven't installed them yet. When I switched I went to Ubuntu 12.10 instead of Windows 8. Windows 8 is awful and lacks a lot of software support, that could change in a few years if Microsoft gets their act together. |
