For all that Playboy may have some NSFW attached, their articles section is pretty tame. Also published a lot of good sci-fi over the years...

Yeah the “I read it for the articles!” claim does have a nugget of truth to it, lots of well known authors published stories in the magazine, Jimmy Carter even sat for an interview with the magazine.
