But then, actually, even with all the details, the alleged profiteering is actually happening and naturally people running these business know lots of details but they like money too.

I really dislike the rhetorical trick of framing any opposing argument as “apologist”. It’s the new “shill”; an attempt to attack motives rather than argument.
