Bad example--Singapore has never had a single 100F day in recorded history. The highest temperature ever recorded was 37C/98.6F. As a small island its climate is greatly moderated by the masses of water around it. It rarely gets above 90F. The broader point about the 0-100 Fahrenheit scale being convenient for people from a certain climate is correct, of course. |
