This sounds like it could be correlation? People who are more prone to risk-taking are more likely to mix caffeine and alcohol? Although, in that case, they could be considered a vulnerable population, which a ban would serve to protect. So I guess it makes sense either way.

People don't say to themselves "today I want caffeine and alcohol" and then search for products matching their preferred mix ratio. They just see a product meant to get them fucked up, and consume it. The selection of easily available products absolutely matters.

I do that sometimes. Is there something wrong with that? Granted, rarely in the form of an energy drink.
