for gemini-2.5-flash-lite the recommended GA migration target is gemini-3.1-flash-lite, or gemma-4-26b-a4b-it-maas. both more expensive (was $0.10/$0.40) and now either ($0.25/$1.50) or ($0.15/$0.60) for the global variant. especially for uses cases like generating short summaries, where no strong reasoning is needed, there seems to be no option at a similar price point available anymore. |
