I'm 10 minutes from Kashima (where the Aeon mall is) and the quake was violent. But that's not the worst part, it's all the aftershocks that keep coming (just had yet another about an hour ago). They've been frequent. The locals tell me that the worst is yet to come. The big quake 10 years had this pattern, a sizable shake, lot's of aftershocks, then the big destructive one hit. Everyone in the area is on edge. |
