OB/Gyns already have an intense malpractice climate... this is not going to bode well for future MDs going into the specialty. This verdict sucks... the resident saved the baby's life after it was stuck in the birth canal. Brachial plexus injury and fracturing the clavicle are complications of shoulder dystocia. The only other option was the baby would have died in the birth canal. Idiotic jury. |
