As a PSA, there is the Consent-O-Matic family of extensions that makes option available at the browser level. You can choose the level of "tracking" you are comfortable with.
They automatically choose the option in the cookie banners.
Not a perfect solution, especially with custom made cookie banners but worka really well overall.
