Long time (former) user of consent-o-matic here and i concur, it doesn't seem to work on many sites these days.

"I still don't care about cookies" works seamlessly so far.

Im a little cautious about a new plugin - too many sites are abusing a legitimate interest loophole. There is no way a default minimal cookie set has hundreds of "legitimate interest" partners.
