I was thinking of unsubscribing from IntelliJ just today because my file tree doesn't update for like 5 minutes when I create new files with my terminal. Its utterly broken.

Have you increased the number of inotify watches?

I'm having issue on mac, but never had it on Linux after setting inotify limits sufficiently high

Hmm I could try that, but honestly I dont see why I should pay 30€ a month for an IDE that I have to manually tweak for :/
