I hear this over and over. What kind of privacy are we taking about here? You mean X gives Y 100 bucks in cash privacy? Or purchasing a house where there is no paper trail, no knowledge of who is the previous/current owner and no insurance at all kind of privacy?

Would you be happy to send your kids to a school that no one knows whos the owner, who operates it and if there is any kind of hazards and/or insurance/maintenance? Lets not even talk about how and what the teachers get paid, as its all fully private.

Someone arguing for the ability to pay someone without surveillance does not argue for a world where nobody knows each other anymore. That would be awful, of course.

Yes. Monero is the equivalent of spending cash online. Any service that accepts monero still has order numbers to deliver the product. Or requires an address if it must be shipped.

It's about minimizing unnecessary data.

Obviously very rare for these to have Monero payment method.
