I allowed myself to believe that the public conversation had moved past the "free speech means that no one is allowed to control what others post on platforms they run". The obvious cases of it routinely get replies with the obvious counterarguments, so I thought maybe everyone had gotten the idea. Apparently not.

You can disagree with the decision here. That's a reasonable debate. Pretending it's about "pluralism" or "tyranny" is pathetic.

Think about it for half a second: do you think every platform that accepts user content is required to accept all not-explicitly-illegal content? No? Then the only question is where to set the line. Codeberg is making their own choices. If you don't like those choices, I don't even have to tell you to start your own platform, because there's already tons of competition.
