It’s really hard to feel bad for these Web 2.0 platforms that made money off of free content and are now enshittifying on top of it. I stopped using Reddit when they blocked 3rd party apps and forced people to use their first party ad-ridden and painful UX. Every time I go back I find some other annoying unilateral change like deleting r/all. In any case, Reddit was so filled with politics and bots and low-effort drive-by comments that I don’t miss it too much. |
