Not a big surprise, the Windows audio system is not that robust and will reboot for the slightest reason and I think it's worse in recent versions of Win 11. I did a lot of things to try to get AirPods working properly on Windows and finally gave up because of this sort of instability.

Yeah, windows could handle those sorts of things more gracefully. But I am not at all happy with the way Sony/Playstation handled this.

I used to feel that "I can plug so many great things into USB and they work so great!" and now it feels more like playing Russian Roulette. Like I had a Cooler Master keyboard plugged into my computer at work and it turned out that it had been causing interrupt storms for years that was making my computer slow and unresponsive. I plugged in a new keyboard and it was like getting a new computer.
