>Great, you've managed to dig up a negative review

Google shows it at the top of first page and it's a review chosen and published by National Space Society, not just some rando's opinion.

Your reviews are on Amazon from ordinary people that after 5 years of relentless russophobic propaganda in the West are eager to consume more. Of course they like a book that mocks long dead people that beat the US in the early space race despite the USSR being in ruins after WW2 and loss of 26 million people.

One review among "Top reviews" even prizes it specifically for being entertaining and hilarious. Right, let's mock Soviets for their poor electronics instead of being in awe of what they have achieved with what they had.

Compare that, for example, with a book by David Scott and Alexey Leonov[0] telling parallel stories of Moon programs that has better rating and almost no 3-star reviews. If you read "Top reviews", they are all excellent.
