AI isn't sentient and cannot feel. Slave or not, there are thus no moral problems, atleast in this matter. I'd support AI progress if it wasn't pushed by companies that obviously want profit and only opt out when it's getting dangerous for them, supporting such companies is the equivalent of jumping off of a bridge as our species.
