Who pays for that then? There must be some reason SBS doesn't allow viewers outside Australia.
Edit: Seems SBS is partially funded by the Australian govt, ie taxpayers.

That's right. Further the SBS was introduced to allow more ethnic broadcasting of content not in English following the war in around 1970.
